This episode of our podcast features a teaching and meditation by Rebecca Schisler of the IJS Core Faculty. This is a meditation Rebecca led for Shevet: A Mindfulness Community for Young Adults, a weekly sit offered by IJS specifically for those in their 20s and 30s, held every Monday at 8 pm ET, 5 pm PT, with Rebecca serving as the host. For this episode, Rebecca offers a practice for the Jewish month of Adar on "basking in the good," wiring into ourselves and memory that which is positive—not to dismiss or ignore what's hard in our lives and our world, but to acknowledge that multiple things can be true at the same time. This is a practice for expanding our awareness of what is happening as a whole, all that is here, so we might meet the challenges of our lives and our world today with more resilience and greater balance.
The meditation featured in this episode originally took place on March 18, 2024 during Shevet: A Mindfulness Community for Young Adults, a weekly sit offered by IJS specifically for those in their 20s and 30s. To join these FREE weekly meditations live, sign up here.
