This episode of our podcast features a teaching and meditation by Rabbi Miriam Margles of the IJS Core Faculty. It's a practice to help us move into the upcoming Jewish holiday of Shavuot, commemorating and reenacting the experience of receiving Torah at Mt. Sinai. This meditation is based on the Netivot Shalom, a commentary by the 20th century Hasidic teacher Rabbi Shalom Noach Berezovsky. Rabbi Margles invites each of us to imagine ourselves as a single letter in the Torah. In this practice, we refract the light of the Divine through our unique letter, our own distinctive being – and we connect our unique letter with others by loving them as ourselves. Join Rabbi Miriam Margles now for this deep and rich practice for embodying Torah and unifying its letters through love.
The meditation featured in this episode originally took place during the IJS Daily Online Meditation Sit on Thursday June 6, 2024. To join these FREE daily meditations live, sign up here.
