Rabbi Josh Feigelson leads the third in a series of four meditations for Sukkot, the fall Jewish harvest holiday, on the theme of "Habits of the Heart: Practices for the Diversity and Democracy of Sukkot." On Sukkot, we come together as family, friends, and strangers to create community—making our own special contribution in the construction of the sukkah and the shared community it represents. This meditation, "We Are Always Building a Sukkah," reminds us of how we can learn to find satisfaction, joy, and meaning in finding our own inner, true voice, and engaging our unique selves in shared service, contributing to positive change in our communities, our country, and the world.
The meditation featured in this episode originally took place during the IJS Daily Online Meditation Sit on October 4, 2023. To join these FREE daily meditations live, sign up here.
